The second beta for our sequel to the original Together Alone is out now! The new version contains improvements in all areas:

- Loads much faster.
- New facial expressions, title screen and level backgrounds.
- A puzzle editor. Click ‘Share this level’ and paste the link on Twitter, Facebook or in the comments below.
- Glorious, hand-crafted sound effects.
- Completely rewritten story, plus the option of turning it off too.
- All achievements have been implemented, and the “star meter” has been added to the achievements screen (will unlock bonus levels in the final version
- Improved animations and visual effects
- Many little bug fixes, optimizations and tweaks.

We’re finally getting really close to finishing this thing. Please try it out, and we’d love to hear your comments. Oh, and send us your home-made levels, we love a challenge! :-)

Ok, new addiction. Watch the video in the linked article to see what makes this game so interesting. But I'll try to explain.

This is a strategy game where for each turn, you plan 5 moves for your robots. Meanwhile, your human opponent is doing the same. When you're both done, the moves are executed, and you see if your plan works out or not. You're constantly trying to guess what your opponent is planning, giving the game a feel not dissimilar to Poker. Spectacular success and failure are both frequent, but after a while you will get better at it, and therein lies the thrill.

It has a good matchmaking system, so you can always find an evenly-matched opponent. I'm on there as 'zwets'. Challenge me, if you dare! (actually, I'm pretty bad, so easy pickins' :-)

A race car obstacle course that's fiendishly difficult and fairly addicting (and on occasion rather unfair), and the road is randomly generated so it's never twice the same.

Visually it reminds me of Tron, and the soundtrack is very reminiscent of old mod tracker music.

The game announces up-front that it's difficult in the splash screen. It's not wrong.

Two tips: play fullscreen, and turn slightly later than you think you have to.
